A second uneleceted Tory leader in a row...and lasting unrtil 2022?

Cloud cuckoo land.
Well they will say Brown was unelected and sat out the term, May had an election soon after so the replacement can sit out the term.

I don't like it but why would they call an election they will surely lose?

One house is a necessity two or more is a luxury. And i don't believe owning two pairs of shoes has the same social impact as owning multiple houses but I'm sure it has materialistic impact if that's your thing.

My point being, where does it end. Owning two cars could be deemed a luxury, ditto anyone taking two holidays in a year. Once you allow a government to impose a supplemental tax on the basis of ownership, after already being taxed on income, there will be no stopping them.....

I think it ends with all animals Corbynites being equal, but some being more equal than others ;)

If they lose a vote on THE issue of a generation, which Brexit is, and are faced with governing with a civil war in their party, the only solution is to go to the country to sort the political chaos out. What would be the point in NOT calling an election is the real question in that (very realistic) scenario.

The conservatives were voted in to serve a five year term. Why would they not serve it ?. Just because Corbyn seeks power is no reason why the tories should pander to him. He can wait the full term and we will see how Brexit and the economy turns out.....

Because to govern you need stability. The government will face rebellion form one faction or another of their own party and find it impossible to get anything done. The Brexit deal will finish this government either way. Getting power is merely the delivery system for getting policy through. Why bother if you cant? The likely defeat would be catastrophic and keep the Tories out for a a couple of terms if they prolong the wait for a GE. Get a Brexit deal and then call an election would probably see them lose that election but not sink them for a generation.

This cant last until 2022. I think we all know that much.
