When will they do a report into Tory antisemitism/racism/islamaphobia/homophobia?

Pretty sure the prime minister has ticked all those boxes.

Silly to alienate the left.

....it still doesn’t make what has gone on in the Labour Party right.

I can only talk for myself. As a life long Labour voter I welcome the findings of this enquiry and the subsequent action of Sir Keir Starmer. It’s going to take a long time to reverse the Corbyn years.

Didn't we try that under Miliband and Brown and get beat?

I gave up with the party when Miliband got the gig - biggest Champagne Socialist going that fella.

Brown was alright but he self destructed when the media caught him calling that arl woman a bigot at a time where immigration was the big political issue.

Corbyn being suspended was something I never thought would happen but it was one of my red lines so I've just cancelled my membership after 10 years. Sadly, a lot of other people will be doing the same.

I suppose this is what Starmer wants. It's clear he was never the unity candidate, it's always been about hounding out the left. British politics will return to being two parties lively debating ideas within a narrow spectrum, offering no real change. Andrew Adonis and Rachel Riley are besides themselves with joy. This tells you all you need to know.

Corbyn describing the decision to suspend him a political decision and votes to fight it.

Starting gun on the civil war.

I'd like now to see trade unions come forward and tell the LP they are either leaving or withdrawing funds from the party.

It really, really is. Which is what makes it such a difficult decision to stick with it or not.

Christ. Think they’re underestimating how popular Corbyn was with much of the youth vote. Will lose a lot of backing because of this. Expect the Green party’s numbers to increase in the coming months

A sad day this, the criticism in the EHRC report was in some ways unfair (citing Labour for what Livingstone was saying especially) but to suspend him over this is just going to result in a huge climb down in a few weeks.

Doesn't really matter.

The Labour party isn't unelectable because of a lack of youth votes. And when it comes down to it most of those young people will go for Labour over Greens in a general election in an effort to keep the Tories out.
