Just looking at the comments online it seems like a pretty 50/50 split. I think the idea of a civil war is overstated though. The left lacks any power in the PLP so the worst thing that will happen for Starmer is thousands of members will leave, which let's be honest he won't be too bothered about.

The Labour Movement is far wider than the PLP.

Get ready for disaffiliated unions for a kick off.
 
When will they do a report into Tory antisemitism/racism/islamaphobia/homophobia?

Pretty sure the prime minister has ticked all those boxes.

Silly to alienate the left.
 
I'm looking forward to what people like Paul Mason now say. People like him who got into the gutter with Starmer in order to argue that the LP would be a broad church and that unity was there if only the left of the party would grasp it.
