If they carry on down the same path they are on now, you could be right.
The candidates for the leadership are not exactly filling me with any confidence they have not learned anything from the last 4 defeats.
Burying there heads and saying there will be no brexit next time , just isnt good enough to win power from the Tories.
If Johnson and co had any sense they would ship a few cival service departments , out of London to the likes of Stoke ect and they would finish the labour party off for the foreseeable future.
Manchester is Labour ,I think?To be fair, the Ministry of Truth is already in Manchester
needs to go towards his new voters Stoke Burnley, and the rest of the country to cement there position.

Labour manifesto giveaways were always complete fantasy. The idea that you can have a splurge in spending all paid for by taxing the top 5% 80k+ earners is sheer fiction.

The top 1% pay 26.9% of the total income revenue,
The top 10% pay 58.5% of the total income tax revenue
So the top 5% (who Labour were targetting) paying 50% of the total income tax take is roughly correct.
Clearly, the top 10% do already contribute massively to the coffers of the treasury. If the Labour party want more money to fund public services, then they should want and encourage MORE higher income earners, rather than disincentive them by continually threatening to squeeze them if and when they get there.

I've been quiet on here about things since the election, but one of the things I've noticed is that nobody has considered that the defeat was just a delayed British pasokification?

I see joe Anderson is putting up council tax by the max again. I'm fed up with him. He cant even run a direct bus to the airport but expects us to sub his yearly pay rise.
Failed with the commonwealth games, failed with channel 4 and the city centre is filled with students who don't even pay council tax.

Council tax rises are going on up and down the country. LIverpool council claim they had their budgets cut by 63%. Gotta make that money back somehow. Remember austerity has ended btw.

It would be fine to see some positive changes for these constant rises but nothing ever changes here except council pay going up. Since anderson has been in charge we have fallen miles behind manchester in terms of transport and business infrastructure.
