Why is it the central issue, though? It is because that is all the TV, radio and internet talk about; it is the political equivalent of Love Island and leave vs remain contains has about as much detailed discussions about the state of modern society as that programme.

Why? Wish it wasnt, but to even pretend it isnt is ridiculous. And you do know who talk on the TV the radio and the internet are? People who talk about Brexit.

With the greatest of respect. What? Its total double speak. Christ for 3 years we have been having this, surely to God, the leader of a major party should be able to actually say In or Out.

This is the level of understanding to which modern society has sunk, though.

Corbyn is asked what he would like in a Brexit deal, and he replies with an answer similar to the ones given by various Labour figures over the past three years - which is we would have similar access to what we have now in the single market. This is an actual statement about what a Brexit deal negotiated with the EU by a Labour government would look like, which if it was accepted would allow business to plan effectively and would respect the peace process.

So of course loads say in response BUT WHAT ABOUT LEAVE OR REMAIN, as if LEAVE (especially) or REMAIN mean anything in policy terms.

Which begs the inevitable but unavoidable question, why exactly didnt he and his MPs back Mays agreement? Cos that delivered all of that.

Or has he got some super plan that he is yet to unleash on the EU that literally no one has thought of yet?

It didn't; May's deal left all the questions of what the future relationship would be like up in the air.

Because there are hundreds, well, tons, of pan EU/UK arrangements that have developed over 40 plus years that are not included in the customs union nor in a trade deal.

The easy, well known ones are things like mobile roving charges. But folk with way more understanding will happily point to plenty of others that I havnt got a clue about. @Bruce Wayne

When he's PM he'll negotiate a deal.

Do us all a favour. He hasn’t a clue. He’s sitting on a fence not wanting to upset any voters. It’s worked for a while, but having rejected Mays deal because he wanted a GE, he now knows that he can’t beat Boris so he rejects a GE. So he’s rejected a deal and a GE and doesn’t have an idea that he can communicate of what he does want, as seen by the absolute disasters of his front line on the media. He’s toast......
