Corbyn fans, can you tell me how and why you can watch the above and not think he's a complete waste of space?

I really want to understand this.

Because this division of society into remainers and leavers is nonsense, as if that is the sole reason for anyones existence and the yardstick by which they should be judged in any debate.

What was it before that then? Like were in it, too many voted to leave it in 2016, we are still in it, but he changed his mind in 2018? Lost me.

For Single Market access, the first report I can find that specifically said they wanted to have a relationship with the Single Market but not be in it is from mid 2018.

Before that, in late March 2017 Starmer identified in one of his six tests that for any deal to be acceptable to Labour it would have to "deliver the “exact same benefits” as we currently have as members of the Single Market and Customs Union", though that doesn't say whether Labour would be in it or not (though it implies we would be outside).

But which ever angle you come at modern UK politics, no matter how high brow one may be about other people less nuanced in the political world, Brexit just is THE central issue.

I voted to remain cos I didnt have a clue what voting leave meant. Still dont. I kinda have the same feeling about Corbyn. I literally dont know what he wants.

Why is it the central issue, though? It is because that is all the TV, radio and internet talk about; it is the political equivalent of Love Island and leave vs remain contains has about as much detailed discussions about the state of modern society as that programme.

With the greatest of respect. What? Its total double speak. Christ for 3 years we have been having this, surely to God, the leader of a major party should be able to actually say In or Out.
