I don't like the cut of Watson's jib.
He was making a speech yesterday wearing a white shirt sans tie, not tucked in and under a jacket. He is clearly trying to look younger than he is. I don't like that.

I had the misfortune of travelling in to Birmingham by train over a year ago, overheard some Tory Brummie bells moaning about Corbyn, not because of his policies but because of his appearance. Uuurrgh he looks different, the foundation block of fascism.

Wow, Peter Oborne famed Daily Mail writer has done a 360 and is fairly pro Corbyn
After Yellowhammer, no Tory could ever lead the charge on 'Corbyn the wrecker'.

The CBI are quite relaxed about the prospect of a Corbyn Government. They know that there's private companies operating in utilities especially that give the whole of British industry a bad name. Nationalising them will be a load off their mind.

Like most employees he does what his boss tells him to. He has a new(ish) boss.

He really hasn't done either of these things. Oborne has been his own man for as long as he has been in journalism - he resigned (when Political Editor) from the Telegraph over them selling their editorial line, and has written numerous books, articles and reports about what he sees is the crisis affecting modern British politics. (edit) He also wrote the best article you will ever read about the 2011 riots, which appeared in the Telegraph of all places: https://www.opendemocracy.net/en/op...f-british-society-is-as-bad-at-top-as-bottom/

He has also given Corbyn a much fairer hearing than his employers for years (without ever being pro-Corbyn) - take a look at this interview for instance:

Or this article about Corbyn's foreign policy: https://www.middleeasteye.net/opini...to-middle-east-radical-and-morally-courageous

He is god-awful at predicting things, though (in fact the only prediction of his that looks like it is coming true is his claim in the mid-2000s that the political class of the day would eventually lose power and be replaced by either demagoguery or someone who would restore British politics).

Like Michael Foot's "Donkey Jacket".

Got me there mate;)

Hasn't Oborne been relatively pro-Corbyn for awhile?

I saw him talk at a Stop the War rally some years ago, and he wasn't bad for a Tory.

He has almost always given him a fair crack of the whip, which of course means he stands out like a sore thumb in modern British journalism. It might have something to do with the real contempt he holds for the professional political class though, to which Corbyn is a far greater threat than Boris / Farage and the rest.
