thought Corbyn spoke well tonight , with a bit of passion .
that Jewish MP was a bit uncomfortable for him you could see it in his face.
Ivan Lewis had some axes to grind: suspended by the current leadership of the LP for sexual harrassment against party workers (he said he was "sorry"...it was the second time he'd faced sexual harrassment accusations - it happened also under Brown's leadership); a Blairite who was employed by Blair himself to a Ministerial position; a Labour Friends of Israel chairmen...a group that fund LP MPs to be friendly to the Israeli state.

That's who the Tory's were handing applause out to last night.

Normally I wouldn't use him as a source, but even Guido claimed that Lewis was "not safe in cabs" more than ten years ago.

The state of Ivan Lewis saying he wants an election when he knows there was no chance of it happening last night, and he's avoided a by election for over a year

Wont even get his deposit back if he stands as an independent next election

The feller's a pest. He should be nowhere near parliament. Thankfully the scumbag is nowhere near Labour Party workers these days.

This is where I think Austin, Mann and him really destroyed themselves last night - there are people who have real and honest objections to Corbyn (and the direction the party is heading in), but to side with this Government given everything it is doing, and what they know it is going to do to people?

I'm just watching a re-run of the George Soros documentary on BBC2.

They were talking about the current Hungarian PM Orban who, when he needed advice on how to win, went to a guy called Arthur Finkelstein in the US.
Finkelstein counted Reagan and Trump among the presidents he had advised in the past.

His one big piece of advice was to pick a target on the left and go after them with everything you have. Lie, smear and demonise them non-stop.
You don't even have to talk about policy, especially your own. All you have to do is hammer, hammer, hammer.

They picked George Soros as he was a Hungarian. It worked spectacularly.
The country has veered strongly to the right.

It seems to be working here too.
