The party's a mess.

Corbyn's clueless.

Had a lot of respect for him but tbh he's a wet fart. Needs to leave. Stands about as much chance of winning an election as Calvert-Lewin does bagging anytime soon.

Honestly done with him.

Under his tenure, they've went from the 'party of the working class' to a bunch of Marxist sympathisers having backpatting little meetings in London about how they know best about everything.

It's embarrassing. We shouldn't be dealing with the Tories right now, but we are - largely because Labour are bloody useless.

Does anyone else feel like Labour have become a cult? To me that is more like a scientology meeting where anything that isn't following the message is rounded on.
Cannot generally stand Corbyn and his voyage to the margins of the ballot box, but no problem with his supporters shouting down a completely mealy-mouthed question from that journalist. JC and labour do not get a cup of tea out of the trad media by and large, they are hugely disadvantaged and effectively shouted down themselves, JC consistently smeared. So if I was in their position I wouldn't be lending a friendly ear to an obviously malicious question (basically will you just resign already?). GTFO is entirely appropriate - like a koppite coming on here with some fatuous 'just asking questions' spiel.

JC is naturally good in those sort of situations, it's a shame he can't hold up in a more focussed, interrogative setting in front of the cameras. It's an uphill battle already without having to shield the leader from questioning - marginalises him even more.

It’s not just the Labour Party, politics has been infected with far left ideologies across the globe and it’s a case of “if you don’t agree with us you’re either: a conservative/racist/facist”. There’s no middle ground with them.

Is it not a valid question? If a) he doesn't get the 2/3 support he needs to push this vote of no confidence through, and b) if he doesn't get that support in part due to opposition to him personally, would he be prepared to step aside so that someone else could? It's not asking him to resign as Labour leader, merely to not be the leader of this movement that is supposed to be cross party.

I thought the question was reasonable enough and I agree with your last statement where generally Corbyn will straight bat those questions in that kind of environment and it wouldn't have turned into something newsworthy. I have no problems with the supporters doing a bit of HoC style jeering but it should be in more of an upbeat manner not like the snarling attack hounds have just been released. I say that as it makes it seem JC can't handle the question so they have to step in, when there is little need.

We all know Corbyn cops it from the press but that is why everyone needs to be whiter than white. I also would add that I expect Labour to be the party of tolerance and that appears to be on the wane.

I wish they were, however they most certainly aren't, nice narrative though.

Yes we would because we now have fixed term Parliament which requires Tory Turkey's voting for Christmas... And when May called an election in 2017, she did so with confidence, because the polls and this supposed Corbyn hate from Tory sheeples, all suggested she would win a landslide... Oh dear!

So you're celebrating a loss. Because you didn't get battered 4-0, you're delighted with a 2-1 loss.

You're missing the point. In 2017, after years of austerity, with the Tories utterly incapacitated over a floundering Brexit, Labour still couldn't beat them. Why? Because they were starting from a position of ludicrous weakness due to Corbyn.

They were predicting a landslide because of Corbyn. They didn't get one because the country sent them a bloody nose over their arrogance, notably the threat to the pension triple lock. Even now, after years of the worst governing I've ever seen from a single political party, Labour are ahead only narrowly in a handful of polls and still somehow behind in others.

That's Corbyn and the trajectory of Labour under his leadership. It's an embarrassment.

Bruce, the problem is, if he does step aside, it will be seen as an admission that he is not the right person to be PM.
