No election in the near future.
There will have to be a GE as there is no mandate.

Labour needs to throw all its weight behind another referendum and actively campaign for Remain.
Aren't they already fully in on a government/parliament solution vs remain vote? But that would alienate a huge number of core voters in Wales and the North. Tis a pickle for them all this.
And thats before the inconvenient truth that Corbyn aint exactly a europhile.
But a lot of votes could come in from smaller parties who Labour have already lost votes to. Realistically, only Labour can stop Brexit from happening. It’s the only way Labour are getting back into power any time soon. But that would alienate a huge number of core voters in Wales and the North. Tis a pickle for them all this.

If reports are true that Farage is in meetings with Priti Patel (key backer of Johnson), I can only assume they are planning a coming together to beat Labour in forthcoming general election.
The electorate will have clear choice of Government, if Johnson wins, Conservative Party held together by Farage and his far right vote. Or Labour.
With Hunt or Johnson as PM nothing changes in Parliament until an election changes the numbers. Had May won her election with clear majority her plan with backstop would have been signed off long ago and Austerity would be still ongoing as now but loud and proud with its foot still on the knecks of the most disadvantaged.
I thought that they've been pretty transparent about their stance with the extreme brexit and remain proponents muddying the waters to garner support.Dunno. Not sure anyone does. Know exactly they are saying about it that is.
There is a number of big jumps there. They could be meeting for a range of things, but most logically would probably be the potential for Farage to have a formal/informal role in Brexit negotiations.
Farage has never come close to any sort of arrange with the Conservatives and has spent a lot of time attacking Johnson. He's a very astute man and in truth it would be a disaster for his party if he went into coalition with the Conservatives. He stands on the brink of leading a party that hegemonises the right wing vote. You can never rule anything out in politics but he would lose an awful lot of support from people, who vote for them primarily because they are not the Conservatives.
Such a move would also help Labour too. It would pull loose voters back to them, as it would be facing a nightmare scenario (in theory) of a no deal Brexit.
They would also lose a fair bit of support from centrist Tories. Suffice to say I don't believe it will happen.

Must be me then. A senior Labour bloke was on 5 Live earlier, and when he was asked what he/they supported, it was to respect the referendum, unless it was a no deal leave in October, then they would want a 2nd referendum, then a GE.
None of which respects the referendum, and the following 3 points would need a HOC vote. So no, I dont actually see if they are pro or anti leaving. Or remaining.
Its not just them, dont get me wrong, but them suggesting they are in some way presenting a clear and unified Brexit solution is in the same ball park as the stuff the BP and others conjure up.
