No, that's completely untrue.
The word Zionism has been used over a hundred times on these forums in just the last year. Why are you NOW sensitive to its use?
Also - and just so we're all clear - are you now proscribing the use of the words "Zionist/Zionism" on these forums?
But let's stick to the point of order: you believe Zionist to be an ethno-religious insult, when it most definitley is not. It's used by Jews who oppose the Israeli State's actions.I'm not writing as a moderator but as another member of the site. There is no policy on the term and I don't suppose there ever will be. I'm merely voicing my distaste at the relish and gusto with which you use that term to clearly denigrate people. To therefore not regard it as an insult or slur is wholly disingenuous. There's a mania about your posting at the moment that is frankly quite unnerving.
...still none of the Corbynisters are keen to criticise the culture of bullying and harassment in the Labour Party. Coming to a policy agreement is fine but hooligan politics is totally without decency and value.
I saw it for many years in the Civil Service where the ‘Unity Left’ ran the Trade Union and moderates were shouted down. The Labour Party has sadly become a facility for the hooligan element.
It’s hard to trust the people that are saying it takes place though. Corbyn and McConnell don’t come across as bullies to me....still none of the Corbynisters are keen to criticise the culture of bullying and harassment in the Labour Party. For example, Jewish Voice for Peace:
"While it had many strains historically, the Zionism that took hold and stands today is a settler-colonial movement, establishing an apartheid state where Jews have more rights than others."
Jewish Voice for Labour use the term frequently...as in Liverpool when their meeting was halted by a bomb threat and they blamed 'extreme Zionists' for the stunt.
How on earth could you ever dream of interpreting it (and my use of it) as having ethnic overtones?

There's a plus to every post then,it'll give you more time to trawl the web to find something else to be offended by.Oh for Socialists like you during the Miners Strike. If you can’t tell the difference between those people expressing their confidence in Corbyn and what you’ve been arguing here then there isn’t much more I can say.

I would agree but how would I know it’s actually happening? The media in this country has become so biased and misleading that it can no longer be trusted in my opinion. There has clearly been an agenda against Corbyn from the start and until I see evidence of hooliganism within the party i’m Inclined to believe it’s part of the smear....it’s the rank and file where the harassment comes from. The leaders don’t convincingly condemn it.
I’m as keen as most Labour Party supporters to see them in power but i’m very concerned about the hooligan element and the lack of decency.

If media outlets expect us to believe they’re truthful they should stop analysing the angle that he bows at wreath laying ceremonies and whether his poppy is big enough. The BBC should stop photoshopping him to look like some kind of Russian agent as well, they’re supposed to be neutral. It’s a boy cried wolf scenario, there are consequences for dishonest journalism.
It's become the new "race card" Macron is now trying to play it for all it's worth. How a few blokes who just happened to be wearing yellow vests and keffiyeh managed to recognise a Jewish philosopher standing in a doorway is just nothing short of miraculous. But let's stick to the point of order: you believe Zionist to be an ethno-religious insult, when it most definitley is not.
