Current Affairs The Labour Party

The remark about entryism was there as well, in fact it (the belief that “their” party has been stolen) is probably one of the few things both sides of the TIG have in common.

Of course, when they say “entryism” what they mean is “the membership” - as anyone who has ever been to a Conservative Club will know, their views are quite a way to the right of most of their MPs.
Working class Tories are capable of saying some stuff that wouldn't have gone amiss in the Nazi party. Not all working class Tories, but a huge amount. They are frightening people and never to be trusted. The city of Liverpool was full of these creatures once upon a time. Thankfully they're all but extinct here now.

Anti-semitism in particular and in great volume in the LP and nowhere else = a complete fabrication.

Anyone buying into the narrative that it's a fact just isn't at the races.

I'm a Labour Party member, have been my whole life, I have seen it first hand in the party. It is often cloaked under anti-Israeli sentiment but it exists. For example, perhaps in someone responding to this question 'There were about 80 MPs in LFI. How many leave before antisemitism is dealt with?' with this response, 'All of them hopefully. Get the Zionists out of the LP. They support an apartheid state.'
I'm not a supporter of the Israeli states actions, and I support the Palestinian people. I do not support cloaking this support in antisemitism. It happen and it needs to be faced up to - even if it is being used by certain sections to beat the Labour party, that doesn't change it exists.

I'm a LP member too. I see and hear none of it.

Anecdotal evidence wont cut it for you here mate.

This comment really doesn't cover you in glory. Maintaining there is not issue with antisemitism but there is with Islamophobia. Both exist and are issues in the UK - neither are acceptable
Take issue with how Israel treats Palestinians or how the world markets are controlled by those with Zionist interests and by default your anti-Semitic...great catch all.

That was literally a quote from you today.

As was 'Working class Tories are capable of saying some stuff that wouldn't have gone amiss in the Nazi party. ' but anecdotal evidence won't cut it, apparently

But I stated it wasn't a general rule amongst them, AND I'm not asking you to take my statement as an irrefutable fact.

It needs to be divided between on Twitter and in person. On Twitter it’s rife, though that is a largely anonymous platform that basically exists so fools can rant. They need to be reigned in but a lot of them aren’t Labour people (where they are they should be dealt with).

In person it’s lot rarer, but it still happens - that clown in Wimbledon CLP for instance, which was witnessed by dozens including a lot of pro-Corbyn people (who reported him, only for the London regional office* to let him off).

* which was odd in itself, I don’t know the current makeup of that office but I’d be amazed if it was Corbynite, given how few councils / MLAs it has down here.

Twitter is bollocks. You can dismiss that straight away. It's anonymous BS. Face to face - I would wager a great deal that the instances you refer to are people calling out others as supporters of Zionism not attacking their ethnicity - which would be appalling.

As said: greater in the LP than elsewhere? No. Emphatically no.

Here’s what I was on about:

It’s rare, but it does happen and it needs to be stamped on
