...3 Conservative MPs have now left the party and defected to the Independent Group.

Get the feeling this new break away party will appeal to very few people. Anyone on here interested in voting for them?

...today’s PMQs should be interesting. I imagine the Conservatives will have to rip up their plans to raise Labour Party break up.

....for me its less about policy than it is about harassment and bullying. It was similar with Militant. It’s politics supported by hooliganism and Corbyn supporters on here don’t seem to want to condem it. It won’t be supported sufficiently for Government, not because of policy but because decent people want decency.

...the Party has shifted to the right, particularly with regards to pandering to the ERG over Brexit.

It sounds like Labour and Tory centrists feel their Party no longer represents them.

Have the levels of 'decency' changed in line with the levels of tolerance for inequality, or do you think it's the constant fear mongering over loss of status and employment?
People have watched as various safety nets have been lost or tempered back simultaneously with favouring corporate responsibility breaks and it seems to be affecting more and more.
It genuinely surprises me the dwindling compassion amongst the public as they are struggling more and more. If 'socialist' ( and I use the term loosely) policies were given a fair hearing I still have a lingering hope that more people could be brought onside, the press and media with their vested interests think differently.

I literally can't remember a news article concerning anti semitism in the UK before Corbyn became leader. I can't think of a single Jewish hate crime that's been significant enough to appear on the news.

I might seem ignorant and my memory is terrible, but I just can't think of anything. Has it really been that much of an issue over here?

No, there is no issue here. It is a complete fabrication to undermine the LP leadership. There is though a terrible anti-Muslim problem (including murders of Muslim clerics) and the Tory Party IS institutionally Islamophobic...but that gets almost no publicity.

This is what Britain has become. This is our media and this is our political culture. It is a cesspit that needs cleaning.

The remark about entryism was there as well, in fact it (the belief that “their” party has been stolen) is probably one of the few things both sides of the TIG have in common.

Of course, when they say “entryism” what they mean is “the membership” - as anyone who has ever been to a Conservative Club will know, their views are quite a way to the right of most of their MPs.

Anti-semitism in particular and in great volume in the LP and nowhere else = a complete fabrication.

Anyone buying into the narrative that it's a fact just isn't at the races.
