I must have imagined Labour constantly talking about the free market and wanting growth to come from the private sector.
These are as capitalist as the Labour Party has ever been.
They’ve just realised working people can’t be hit anymore and it’s time for others to take on some of the burden.
I'm loving you unwilling to address any of our points fella. Of course we will be paying for it, your generation set us up for it.I’m loving all this defence of a stupid budget, but it’s you guys who will be paying for it…enjoy ……

The sentiment of not giving 300 quid to people who don’t need it was 100% correct. They had years to think and still screwed it up…bunch of amateurs…..
Your generation had it the easiest of any in living memory, but I don't want to derail this into a generational debate. I personally won't get anything from my parents as they're absolute arseholes, and I won't have children because of my own personal choice based off experiences from said parents. My wealth at the end of my life will happily go to charity, most likely an animal one.Of course we did, by working hard all our lives, paying taxes and giving money and assets to our children…what a shower of barstewards…let’s hope you don’t do any of this…….
The budget was probably the most grown up budget in years…. The reality is we’re now having to pay the bill for Brexit… I know you won’t agree with that but it’s the stark reality of the position the country has stupidly put themselves in.I’m loving all this defence of a stupid budget, but it’s you guys who will be paying for it…enjoy ……
fixed. The budget was probably the most grown up budget in years…. The reality is we’re now having to pay the bill for Brexit… I know you won’t agree with that but it’s the stark reality of the position the benefitted boomer generation took as entitlement, and everyone after can hang...
And that’s a ‘True dat’ storyfixed.
Smoking ban was huge hit on the demise of the pub, second and more i beleive by your post and others mine at times, having a yarn at the local, still the need to converse just its been replaced by "social media". And you say can be done from home.Pubs are dying because by and large, the country has changed habits. People stay at home because there is an abundance of entertainment on TVs now, and education on the harms of alcohol are having an impact. For too long bad businesses have been propped up by governments just because they are a pub. The market is still strong enough for many to remain open, just let somebody better at running business take over your pub.
I think people wising up about drinking and driving certainly helped too. I say helped because that's a far worthier cause than lining a landlord's pockets.Smoking ban was the biggest single cause of the demise of the pub, second by your post and others mine at times, having a yarn at the local still the need to converse just its been replaced by "social media". Forget about drink driving was a kid again when it became properly unacceptable so probably dont appreciate the impact. And smoking ban finished me off in pubs. Dad was "Landlord" I read back previous night like many mornings, it echos the same characters of the 80s, always similar times they posted too.I think people wising up about drinking and driving certainly helped too. I say helped because that's a far worthier cause than lining a landlord's pockets.
