Look, when a party says it'll end sleaze and influence over government then it unleashes a lot of scrutiny on itself to make sure they are squeaky clean and walking the talk.

'Labour' have been caught out because they've been accepting gifts and hospitality from businesses and individuals seeking a policy outcome...as per Jonathan Reynolds taking Glastonbury hospitality from Google who were lobbying to get internet businesses tax at a reduced rate.

There's absolutely zero defence for this Starmer Gang. Ilm delighted the country are having their noses rubbed in their naivety in electing a bunch of Red Tory scum.

But Dave, surely there's a conflict of interest when unions give gifts like this and we see large pay rises for unionised industries at the expense of Tory and Brexit voting pensioners?

Hold on, this is a 'Labour' Party that used anti-sleaze as one of its main weapons against the Tories over the last 4 years. Starmer built his reputation on it. They had to have completely clean hands to avoid looking like hypocrites. But they haven't got those clean hands. It's no good you trying to sugar coat it for them by stating they claimed less than the Tories, because they still claimed hundreds of thousands of pounds between them in free clothes, tickets, use of apartments etc etc.

At a time when these rats are taking £300 off pensioners and telling families with more than 2 kids they have to take the financial pain, that is a monumental loss of face...and it's reflected in all the current polling.

They are going to have to work really hard now to gain any credibility. This is looking like a lame duck government 3 months into a 5 year term.

Some of it, some of it isn’t. I work in CDD specifically PEPs and sanctions so I know how corrupt they all are. Some of them are just worse from experience and I have an idea who’s worse

Yes, but one might argue there is undue political influence at the expense of the taxpayers and other parts of society (I.e. pensioners) without a stake in the world of work. I'm sure @peteblue would agree bowing to the unions on large pay rises for members at the expense of pensioners is reprehensible political favoritism.
