Not a sob story, I’ve paid all my taxes throughout my career, adding up to a couple of million. My lad claims nothing, in fact none of my kids have claimed a penny off the state, my wife and I have a state pension. I’m sure there’s loads of money my lad could claim for, but we don’t , it’s not what we do. We have always contributed, never claimed, and we believe in helping those who can’t help themselves. I vote Tory not because of some ideological belief but because I believe they will generate money for the nation which can be spent helping those having problems. Some of you on here cannot understand this, you feel that you hold the moral high ground just because you vote Labour. I vote for those that can really help. I spend my time both looking after my wife and helping our small community and I’ve raised my kids to do similar. Don’t judge people by who they vote for, judge them by what they do for society…..my conscience is clear……

I'm sure you're a decent fellow Sean but this is at least the 3rd time I've seen you misunderstand a CA post and go off half-cocked so we won't be conversing on the topic, okay?
That's fine, it's not like my views are remotely likely to be listened to or implemented by any serious government anyway. I've no idea why anybody would waste their internet bandwidth arguing to the contrary, I could have been left alone to shout into the wind for all that it mattered. We'll go on passing our pittances on to our kids, and the wealthy will pass their vast estates on to theirs, and we'll wonder why our kids never make their millions despite being so talented, and maybe if there was a level playing field something might change, but no chance...

I never said what you claimed. That’s just your interpretation. I’ve moved money in accordance with the laws of the land over the appropriate timescales to help my kids. All of which the due tax was paid. My accountant ensured that everything was above board and legal.
The government gives my son nothing, because he doesn’t claim it…as I would expect from him……

I’ll let you dig your own hole on this. You make your judgements based on politics when really sometimes you should listen and see beyond the colour of whatever flag you associate with a person, I’ll leave it there as it seems a bit pointless trying to discuss things in a sensible and objective manner just because I voted for Boris. You really need to grow up…oh and god only knows why you’ve introduced Russia, a state that I feel is an abomination…but please carry on digging…….
