Unite giving Labour grief over a lack of progressive policies.
She should do what she's threatened then: disaffiliate Unite from 'Labour'.

They won't be arsed anyway, they'll turn completely to their friends in big business to fund them.

At least then the veneer of these Red Tories representing the interests of working class people will be stripped away.

Good response from the leader of the Green's, Carla Denyer, to the announcement of austerity by Starmer. It really is all about choices: hammer the poor and make them pay for the 'crisis' in spending or tax the rich.

Enduring more economic pain and hardship isn’t what people voted for. They were told they were voting for change. Not voting for things to get worse before they get better. Labour needs to be honest about the fact that they could choose to make things better for everyone if they were bolder and braver.

What is being framed as tough choices is actually about political choices. People don’t need a constant reminder that the Tories broke Britain. They need a new approach, not misguided fiscal rules that are set to make things worse.

Same old same old...just switch the rosette colour and you get the same old sleaze.

The plagiarist's sister (again) farting her way through her 'explanation' of why money people are getting the ear of the PM of this country.

If you think these are as bad a a boris, gove, braverman, Rees-mogg etc then you are deluded.
The last lot were the worst collection of MPs in living memory. Corrupt and arrogant with it.
Running a country is t easy, but I want to know that they are at least trying to do it right.
There isn’t a magic money tree, people have for things somewhere -richer older people should still pay something g towards things

And suddenly people want the Bolshoi ballet. How thoroughly amusing. Where is the sunshine labour? Why haven't lager prices fallen? There's still pot holes on my road, and I still haven't got my hernia fixed. You promised me the world, and now you aint delivered.

"Booo!"

I remember people during the election campaign telling me: "You're wrong Dave. There'll be no return to austerity. Starmer is different - he's just saying stuff to get into office. There'll be a break with austerity" when I posted stuff like this:

...and now here we are - not even out of August - and the austerity announcement is getting officially made this week.

He also said that he has achieved more in 7 weeks than the Tories did in the last 7 years, but somehow to ‘fix’ anything will take 10 years…con merchant……..

Thatcher Kinder ^^^ embracing the diagnosis and treatment.

I said in the election campaign he'd be hated by most people by the end of this year...he's achieved so much more though: August.

That's some going. Then again, his personal favourable ratings were always in the toilet even when the former Labour Party were riding high in the polls.

They'll be in the gutter in the next few weeks.

Well his government has actually met and agreed pay deals with the junior doctors and agreed to pay teachers more, a decent start I’d say.

They didn’t ‘agree’ pay deals, they basically said how much do you want, help yourselves. Created £14Bn black hole….

It probably wouldn't be the worst thing.

A genuinely progressive left-wing party needs the support of the unions. As much as they bellyache, the unions are loathe to pull away from Labour.

Sure, there's the debate about why should the left move away from Labour etc, but it's probably the best move. The unions, in my view, can't quite bring themselves to make the move - they're hedging their bets on influence.

Sharon Graham has been very vocal on Labour needing to be bolder and i think it was her making noises about leading politicians and not giving unqualified support. Perhaps needs to put her money where her mouth is.

Anyway, the Telegraph are convinced the Unions are going to ruin our lives:

LOL. Maybe we will end up in a Trot paradise after all, if the Telegraph are fretting.
