Is this a new strike ? Or the one that’s been disrupting journeys for people who use public transport for the last 2 years ?

The one that the previous governmentl allegedly wrecked talks several times , is it that strike or a new one ?

Son, are you old enough to discuss these great matters with Pete?

The rail strikes wont go away anytime soon.

Quite rightly the RMT are seeking to get parity with ASLEF and ASLEF itself is not backing down on the east coast line against bullying from management.

The noises out of the government look hostile to the latter of those developments.

Hey, D, what do you make of @peteblue's argument that this Labour government are bad socialists who'll ruin the country by givingin to Unions?

The current Labour Party is bereft of morals. Why have tuition fees got to be raised?? One rule for working class students from Bootle in 2024, another for the Kinnock/Blairite NUS leaders of the 90s and 00s who've gone on to parliamentary jobs and lifestyles without student debt. Today's students can only dream of that.

If you're a Socialist then universal free education is a timeless principle. Labour doesn't know what Socialism means 👎 Reminds me of the MLK Jr. quote "We all too often have socialism for the rich and rugged free market capitalism for the poor"

So, not content with their recent pay rise LNER (now owned by the government) train drivers will be striking every weekend and as if by magic the Border Force will also be striking…”happy days are here again…..” Once you cave in to one or two unions, every other public sector union will jump in…welcome to the 70’s…..

As if being an Evertonian wasn't hard enough you want to take away worker's right to strike? 😿

Aftef 14 years better my neighbours or the person I walk past on the street gets the money than Tory donor/ freind residing in Caribbean or such like, let's have some proper trickle down economics, rather than stuffing it all upwards.

Interesting article on Sue Gray, who sets about reforming the civil service not liked by Tories or her former collegues. A Civil Service whose power and influences actually grew under 14 years of poor Tory Government, good reason not to like her I suppose.
