I’ve been kind to you Pete. I’ve ignored opportunities to take you to school on the obviously flawed things you’ve suggested & some of the blatantly wrong Daily Mail level statements you’ve made.

I’ve highlighted these particular bits to drive home to you how scummy your tactics at debating are. The times I subtly tried to show you earlier didn’t work but you’re not fooling anyone with this.

Thank you for being so kind to a mere humble Daily Mail reader, and your teaching to me my failures at debating tactics. I look forward to further insights from yourself and promise to do my homework in a more professional manner in the future …..

Pete I think you are a good man and I have a lot of respect for you. Looking after your wife and what you are dealing with must be very difficult, and I wish you all the best.

We are all Blues at the end of the day and it’s good to have different opinions, and it’s great that we can come here and argue like one big dysfunctional family.

I know you don't like Starmer etc and he’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but can you really criticise him and the government after 5 weeks? The Tories were still blaming Labour after 14 years! This government have been left an absolute mess by the Tories and won’t be able to change things overnight. Some tough decisions will need to be made and not everyone will be happy. I agree pensioners shouldn’t lose out, but those who need it will still get it I believe.

All these issues with the economy, crime, NHS etc are coming home to roost now because the Tories chose to cut, kick the can down the road or put the party and their mates before the country. We have the highest tax burden since WW2 under the Tories stealth taxes. Working people are destitute because of their incompetence.

Give Labour a bit of time and then see which way the country is heading. If they are no better than the Tories and they will be voted out in 5 years time.

I see GP’s are now voting for industrial action…looks like Reeves’ manufactured black hole is about to get bigger….

The GPs wanted to remain as independently run small businesses when the NHS was founded.

They should expect to profit in good times and not to have to shoulder the losses when a contract they signed doesn't appear as lucrative as they thought it was.

Perhaps it's time for the UK Labour government to let these businesses fail and take them under state control that's what we do in Wales.

Yeah that should do it, a new unit. Meanwhile he’s been promoting early release for prisoners and mentioned nothing about kids carrying zombie knives, but tbf neither the Tories. A law that gives a minimum and mandatory sentence of ten years imprisonment for anyone caught carrying one, together with stop and search of kids / young adults of any colour being blitzed in cities may just bring this to an end. The softly softly approach hasn’t worked, and stabbings are going through the roof. Build houses by all means, but also announce the building of half a dozen new prisons….London and some cities have become cesspits…..
Was the recommendation from police chief's that government implement this. But yes we know " the experts".

Did I really teach you anything though Pete?

This reply doesn’t show you learned anything about calling people scumbags who want children, including their own, hurt for not agreeing with upstanding citizens like yourself.

The old and the young make up the a lot of the most vulnerable parts of our society. I would prefer that both of these sections of society were spared the feeling of hardship.

Blaming pensioners is a way of dividing society as much as blaming welfare cheats or immigrants. Don't fall into this. How many rich pensioners do you know? I know hardly any.
I know loads of rich pensioners includes family and people I support. Some are totally financially independent others are on benefits and live in rented property.. Really don't know one who struggles financially who is retired.

The issue I come across is when the individual cannot manage their life anymore, not one from multi home owning landlord or other who has had a life on benefits can afford prolonged old age illness that requires support.

And for country that has as long as I've known believes the individual and their choices is sacramont. Not blame, its just accept the consequence of being individualist, not cry ass because your choices are now biting you back.

I'm not sure that stop and search is the answer, mate. I would suggest that it could play a role in a broader strategy, but I don't feel that it should be the primary or sole approach to tackling violent crime. Focusing on education, addressing deprivation, creating opportunities, and fostering community engagement are critical components of a holistic strategy to reduce youth violence and prevent tragic outcomes like fatal stabbings.

The sad reality is that since 2013, under the previous government fatal stabbings among teens has doubled. It is quite a damning fact among the many failures the previous government caused our nation.

Fully agree with your first paragraph and partially with the second. London and what goes on there plays an important part in the publicity and glamorisation in the use of these knives and swords. Genghis Khan also has his fingerprints all over this when he promised to cut stop and search if elected. But there has been an absolute failure by the likes of Theresa May who kicked off this madness and hollowed out the police force. Political cowardice in this matter is the real villain…..

Aye, our critical services (NHS, police, fire), from recent experience might be better as a cross-party consideration. The cuts these services have faced is not sustainable and we are reaping the mess of poor decisions/corruption. Regarding youth going wild, you have to give them a chance and hope for a life, and invest in them. Leave them with nothing and you get issues.

I see Boris' casual racism is rubbing off on you Pete.
