Would you vote for this man?

Hunt is and was an idiot. The NI reduction was pure stupidity and should be reversed, but I doubt she will do so……

Dan Neidle the tax expert who famously shone the light on Zahawi tax fraud gives his thoughts where Reeves will plug Tory Government dodgy figures.

Quite a good article and some sensible suggestions (apart from not recognising that half of the black hole has only just been created by Reeves above inflation pay offers). It still seems to be tinkering around the edges though and there’s a limit to what these other taxes can bring. Personally I’d rather she hit income tax and restore the N.I to where it was, but and this is the big issue, she also needs to cut costs and improve efficiencies in the public sector. My fear would be that no matter how much she raises it will now be swallowed up by ‘me too’ pay rises across the board without any noticeable improvements…….

Have you considered that the far right thrives because there's many many people in the UK giving it air? There's been a far right wing undertone in the UK for generations, quietly giving it life whilst not being quite brave enough to surface unless in small pockets such as UKIP or Tommy Robinson.
There's been minority organisations with zero reach into the institution of government before in our history.

Now that's changed with Reform and their 7 MPs or whatever it is.

They are a bridgehead for the street fascists of Tommy Robinson.

The LP under Starmer have done nothing to counter their politics. Instead, they've gone after the votes of people who the far right might also compete for.

There's a perfect storm brewing here.

But, as said, dont look to Starmer's cowards to fill the right wing scum in; that'll be achieved - as per usual - by anti-nazi organisations in the wider labour movement and beyond getting on the streets to give them a pasting.

You meet force with force.

Are you advocating for Starmer to mount up on his horse Toolmaker and ride out personally against the far right mobs, leading the PLP out of the doors of Westminster like Théoden at Helm's Deep?

Or is he supposed to challenge Tommy Robinson to a one-on-one duel for control of the UK's streets?

Pete when I was a youth my surviving grandparents (all now deceased, God bless them all in their rest) got a worse deal than the current generation of pensioners get, by quite a long way. This was despite them actually fighting the war, keeping the home fires burning, being in the land army etc etc. Their contemporaries used to freeze to death before they got help with winter fuel payments as well.

All the more reason for not going backwards….

Great stuff Dave, let me know when we are hitting the streets.

No, I'm not advocating that at all.

If you read what I posted you'll know I expect NOTHING from Starmer on this. He's part of the problem, not the solution.

Satire isn't your thing mate.

I see GP’s are now voting for industrial action…looks like Reeves’ manufactured black hole is about to get bigger….
