You have ever right to complain.
Think we would all mostly like things to go quickly.
After the last decade or so it's only natural.
Unfortunately the state of the country means the government will have to go slowly, it will be frustrating, but hopefully it gets better in the long run.
Honestly I think it will take more than one term to undo the mess they have been left with,
Might come across that that's i am giving the government a walk over , but it's early days we have to give them time in my opinion.

But we can give them time whilst criticising them for making bad calls as well.

It’s not one or the other. We can’t have five years of this constant sniping at people.

This was always going to provoke a heated reaction and rightly so.

For a lot on the left, welfare is high on the agenda and they expect a Labour government to be on the side of the vulnerable.

So it’s easy to see why a lot are disappointed that Labour didn’t commit to such an easy win that would make a massive difference to a lot of people in their manifesto.

It was always going to be this red line or that red line. The conclusion was already made, it's only a matter of picking the argument to make one seem as morally highbound as possible, so as to make everyone else seem morally repugnant. Because that's how the privileged left operates.

They've never had to make umpteen compromises in order to try and get that little bit of help that those of us in the underclass have to live with.

Starmer has been clear it's a budgetary issue not one of conscience.

Labour in government for 18 days into their term days after King speech which outlines reducing child poverty allows privileged left to claim later on that they're holding the moral high ground.

18 days...

Do find posts like this quite offensive but whatever.

Privileged left blah blah blah.

[Poor language removed] idiot.

…..Starmer showing his ruthless streak and putting down a marker that he won’t pander to the Corbynists. Not surprised my own MP is one of the rebels, never been keen on him.

Government is for grown-ups, we’ve had 14 years of division. I’m sure the 2 cap law will be scrapped at some point but they’ve been in power 2 weeks and everything can’t be done immediately. If he didn’t already know, Starmer is now aware of the MPs he needs to move out when the opportunity arises.
