Current Affairs The Labour Party

If Labour were not to win the election, it'll be the most epic fluff' up in political history. But let's be honest, they will win the election...

... the issue here is what majority they will have, what the party looks like afterwards and whether they allow any parties to be able to pressure them.

Sadly I think these absolute idiots will welcome and encourage the emergence of a populist / loon party as their main opposition, because they’ll think that “decent people” will be left with no one else to vote for. The internal opposition will continue to be gone after though, Burnham and Khan especially.

Why do TV debates matter?
No you're right they don't, they shouldn't be trying to showcase their usefulness, reach a wider demographic etc. Just let the purple Tory party get on with it behind closed doors eh  tbf i've got no interest in watching these 2 cheeks of the same arse have a debate.

Do debates do that though? Most I've seen are little more than PMQs in a studio.

I ain't a Labour supporter, however if he stood in my local seat he'd get my vote all day, every day - a top man. We need more MPs like him!

I actually had the pleasure of having a pint with him this season in the Ship and Mitre after a Saturday game. He'd been to the match, and he got chatting to my son.

We ended up having a nice chat, and he bought me a pint.

Yes, I’ve met him as well and what you see is what you get. There are no airs and graces, no pretence, just a genuine, honest bloke.

Unfortunately the PLP and Starmer see him as a threat to them so they don't get on.

If he’d not listened to them in 2015 he’d probably have won that leadership election.
