Labour has won the Kingswood by-election as the Government faces the prospect of a double defeat in the first electoral contests of the year.

Damien Egan overturned a Conservative majority of 11,220, securing 11,176 votes and a majority of 2,501...

Labour gains Wellingborough.

Labour has won the Wellingborough by-election, overturning a majority of more than 18,000...

Turnout in Wellingborough was pathetic.

In the last few Generals it's been 65-68%. Turnout for this by-election was 35%. That's a lot of the electorate gone AWOL.

Pretty similar story in Kingswood, too, down from the low 70s, to 38%.

I know they are a part of the electorate that is often described as being thick as mince, but if people decide to protest against the system by voting for Danczuk in any numbers then they deserve to be labelled as thickos.

I'm just loving this Wellingboro result the arrogance of the local party (by choosing the girlfriend of the Ex-Mp as their candidate) they have been exposed by their Electorate ! Also worth noting that the Lib Dems lost both their deposits with their vote share approximately halved. Tactical voting may have played a part or are the Clegg or Post office effects playing a part.

Should have took the consequences and had nothing to do with Bone and slimey maneuverings and be like Labour with Rochdale.

Yep, Wellingborough gave Labour 13.8k votes, in 2019 they got 13.7k votes, Tories got 7.4K votes and in 2019 they got 32.3K votes. It looks like Labour did as well as possible and the Tories, who like myself are hacked off over Sunak, just stayed at home. Nothing for Starmer to be pleased about really tbh….

No mate, with the exception of a few, I want to see the back of every single one of them. They collectively paid more attention playing internal political games and ceased running the country after Boris was stabbed. Even now I doubt that they recognise the harm they have done to the country and the party by this self serving attitude. Get rid of them and start again…..
