I am finding it harder and harder to support Starmer.

Imagine picking a fight with your own people as the Tory leadership contenders threaten to gallop ever rightwards in pursuit of the some kind of quasi fascist state.

Same here,
The mp for West Derby was on the picket line at Lime St today so we still have one or two who know who they should be backing.
Starmer is running scared , wish he would get to Fk , discussed with this from him today.

Starmer needs binning off
The Socialist Campaign group don't have the numbers to get their candidate on the ballot so will end up with Streeting or Nandy and I doubt they would have acted differently. The best outcome next election come what may is Labour government Starmer Streeting Nandy same difference.

Yet despite that, because of the way the country is, still gives Labour the best chance of winning

When will we get a real Labour Government

Not until we have PR.

IMO Labour will never govern alone again under our current voting system as Scotland is completely lost to us, never to be regained.

They won’t under PR either but at least the Left wing of the party will have a significant say in policy making and implementation.

Momentum like Tories are only happy when Labour was run like a protest movement rather than a government in waiting.

Their worst nightmare is a Labour government.

I'm now convinced 6 months into a Corbyn premiership Momentum would have binned him off as establishment patsy.

Noteworthy as it is newsworthy is Sam Tarry accepts the decision and continues to support the leadership, clearly someone who ultimately puts party above personal interest.

….Starmer has to make Labour electable, just as Blair did. The party has to attract Conservative voters, he needs to be strong and stand against the Corbynists.

I have always thought Starmer would likely set the party up for the next Labour PM, in a similar way Kinnock did resisting the left wing members.

He’s not against the right to strike, he not against individual strike actions but he’s choosing not to directly support strikes. I think that’s sensible.

Why would he not offer support to people, in the midst of a cost of living crisis, taking action to try and safeguard their jobs, and have a pay rise to partially keep pace with increased costs?

That's the bit I dont really understand. Or I do understand, pragmatism, but it is hard to swallow mate. It's not ordinary who have caused this mess, yet we always tend to get vilified.

Said it all along, he’s a waste of space, he’s no politician and he has absolutely nothing in common with Labour voters…..please keep him…..
I genuinely liked him at first. He started off the PMQs with a bit of a bang and made a good start.

He’s done absolutely nothing since then to align himself with Labour supporters.

Needs binning off ASAP. I’d like to see someone like Andy Burnham in his position. At least he is outspoken about the needs of normal people.
