He is going to mess everything up isn't he, despite the open goal
He's right. The whole point of having pay review bodies is that they're independent. You shouldn't have the prime minister wading in whenever they want to score political points.
It was just waffle though, he just looked like a rabbit stuck in the headlights (again)
Yeah it's time for a feisty lady to step in. And the winner is?It was just waffle though, he just looked like a rabbit stuck in the headlights (again)
Are we classing degree-holding civil servants as "working class" now?Yes, just more political speak and no commitments. The pay review bodies are clearly austerity led and are not fit for purpose.
Considering how badly the last decade has been for the working class an inflation matching increase should be the bare minimum expectation.
He said he would stand by what the pay review bodies decide and not interfere. Seemed pretty straightforward to me. I get people want him to come into office and throw money about left, right, and centre, but an unwillingness to do that doesn't make him unclear, surely? It was just waffle though, he just looked like a rabbit stuck in the headlights (again)

Paid for by everybody else working in the private sector. Is that just ?
It has never been much easier to change employment, certainly in the past fifteen years. There is an argument that if these people aren’t happy with their remuneration and can demonstrate they are worth more then they should explore the job market.
