£8/9 million for Heitinga is at least what he's worth. I don't like him, but he's a very good CB and a world cup finalist and first choice international for one of the best teams in international football. He's also versatile, too. Then factor in that he's only 26, and has proven himself in the two top leagues in the world.

If Kocielieaereledkefdny cost Arsene about the same, then Heitinga is worth more, for sure. However given our deperate need for cash, I'd take that right now.

Thing is he hasnt played since the world cup thus clubs not seeing his form, I would take it for someone who isnt arsed about playing for us.

The concern is that we're shipping bodies out of an already thin squad and not bringing funds in for replacements. Yak, Vaughan and Pienaar could all be gone for less than 4 mill.

Yeah I guess so, but it seems awfully risky, we'll only have 2 senior CBs!

And that'll leave us with what, £10m to spend on a striker? It's not like we can get a certified goal-machine with that!
