I havent read it but i can imagine it.......................i imagine it looks like the kind of [Poor language removed] posted on rawk or something.
And even if they are true comments from him theres far worse things i can think of that i wouldn't want our players saying.
We know theres a language barrier so saying joining another English club might be nice might just mean he likes this country and when his contract here is up he'd like to stay in England.
And if any player wouldn't want to play for Barcelona right now there's something wrong with them.
Overreaction to more than likely nothing.
Sure it would be nice if this was a fairytale and every player loved Everton FC but it isn't so to expect it is setting yourself up for dissapointment.
Worse. Comments totally unrelated to what was being discussed. One would f-bomb Johnny - then others start...
He's defo going to be aware when he comes back put it that way, that something or others gone on - if he hasn't actually made the comments.
Several tabloids have been known to totally fabricate quotations entirely.
A quick google of such: threw up this nice little summary page from a group about "ethics in journalism" (laugh!)
http://catalog.freedomforum.org/FFLib/JournalistScandals.htm
Some of them are beyond laughable:
Bjoern Benkow (Mann Magazine/Aftonbladet) – Norwegian journalist Bjoern Benkow fabricated an interview with Microsoft co-founder and chairman Bill Gates in an article entitled “Big Bill” which was published in the Norwegian magazine Mann and a Swedish tabloid daily Aftonbladet. In the four-page interview, Benkow claimed he spoke to Gates during a two-hour commercial flight in Europe. According to Microsoft Norway spokesman Eirik Lae Solberg, Gate’s personal assistant Craig Beilinson informed Microsoft that the interview never took place and that Gates did not fly in a commercial carrier at the time the journalist allegedly met him. Text excerpted from: “Microsoft Norway: Scandinavian media published fabricated Bill Gates interview,” Associated Press, August 2, 2006.
So it does happen. We wouldn't have a press-complaints commission otherwise would we? Thing is though some of these websites are being quoted by newspapers when it's entirely made up too.
Could start a rumour about a well known footballer getting a school girl pregnant.... oh that's been done recently hasn't it? doh
