God I love him. Hope his heart really is with us.

I don't think his heart will ever lie with any club. I think he likes it here; the manager, style, players and so on. I just don't think he's the type of guy to get emotionally invested in a team. He's more interested in being the best he can be; why he moved to England, no doubt.

His missus' smalls even say 'mrs heitinga' on them, brilliant!

He hasn't been back that long to be fair to Moyes, I can understand why he didn't use Heitinga. He'll probably be involved against Wolves.

But why so late? Nigel de Jong was in the World cup final and he played full 90 yesterday. Jonny has not kicked a ball since getting sent off 5 weeks ago.

Moyes wanted to give him a good break, it's down to choice really, he probably wants Heitinga in the best condition possible, both physically and mentally.

Right it just seemed strange really. Given how good he has played last season to not want him back sooner. It's almost like we are not ready to start the season.

I would agree that the world cup would have been an issue, but De Jong played yesterday.

We had enough options yesterday to give him that rest and let him get up to speed, sadly the manager and team didn't do the buisness on the day. I don't think De Jong got as long a break as Heitinga did to be honest, I'm not certain on this, but I think he actually played in some of City's games towards the end of pre-season.

Heitinga's a 'winner', he's got that mentality that we need in the side really, he'll be in the side sooner rather than later.

Well hopefully. He's needed.
