four. i think we will play one up front. he is behind yakubu and saha. can't see him playing that much.

having said that if our injuries kick as as per norm he might get more time and could hit 7-10.

If he scores about 1/3 of the goals he scored for Leeds last season - I'd be happy.
Between 10 and 15, imo, the variable being how much he plays. As we saw against Preston him + Saha make a very good tandem, so we should try that more often, i guess.

I'll go for 9 goals, which would be a good return. He needs to establish himself first, he knows he's going to be behind Saha and possibly Yakubu at present, and he said that wouldn't bother him aslong as he's learning, improving and actually gets the chance to prove himself which I'm sure he will do. Good attitude to have really, he knows it's a massive step up.

He gives us a different option, pace and movement in behind opposition defences, something we've lacked since Marcus Bent and Andy Johnson, the more options the better really. Interesting to see the impact it had on Saha's game, Louis seemed to revel with the freedom of not being the lone forward, he was dropping deep, turning, linking things up and really making things happen.

It gives us more balance if we choose to revert to 4-4-2 during games, having two different strikers as opposed to two players who come short and with no one running into space.

If he gets between 5-10 goals in the league from a limited amount of games I think we will settle for that in his first season, as he is behind Saha and Yak in the pecking order.

I think some of us are putting a bit too much pressure on him.

Yeah. I bet if this question had been asked before we'd signed him, when it was speculative, everyone would have said between 0 and 3.

Having seen him play pre-season, maybe we're getting optimistic. But I suppose we should remember, we've not played any premier league quality teams yet.

We'll see anyway.

I'd be shocked to see him get anything under 10. He's a natural finisher and it won't be too long before he displaces Saha and Yak

15, why not? This is the time of the year to be bold, bang your chest before a ball has been kicked and anyone can prove you wrong yet.

A more realistic number is 9 though, all will be important goals, no scoring the 4th in a 4-0 rout. He'll score winners, equalisers, last minute goals and crucial strikes in crucial games... he just won't score for fun in his first season in this league, nobody ever does.

Torres, first season with them... :(

Dont know mate he seems to play on the shoulder of the last man in the Bent Defoe kind of ilk, if he gets half the goals those two get ill be chuffed.

i dont' know much about how he plays, but if so, he may be able to form a great partnership with yakubu. I could see yakubu holding up the ball and distributing to him effectively, plus with cahill playing just off the strikers we could be a formidable striking side
