9 then suffer a career threatening injury.... hope not obviously , but it wouldn't be the first time

Realistically double figures will be a good return for his first season.

What people aren't considering is how much playing time he'll get.
If he's a sub most of the games other than cup games or in the event of injuries he'll struggle to reach double figures but if he gets his fair share of games or has at least a settled run at some point he could be a real weapon for us. He's certainly the most exciting signing we've made this summer.

Very good point. forget exact figures, anything less than a goal a game and I'm joining Chico to boo him

Risky signing that...can't decide whether he will be really good or really [Poor language removed]. Still, can't be worse than Jo! I think 6 PL goals, 9 in all competitions.

Jo isn't a natural goalscorer in the English league. Beckford is, as illustrated already in his EFC career here.

Two good finishes there but a pre-season friendly against Preston isn't the best gauge of a season in the Prem is it?

I can tell you first hand. He's better than Jo. He's got pace he will scrap and the right attitude and will thrive at Everton.

Also that was the best Preston side I've seen yet when we've gone there. Work very hard off the ball and far more ability going forward than have seen in at least 5 years there.
