I expected you to interpret it the wrong way. I could have elaborated in the original post. I didn't.

That statement needed to stand alone. If I write it in some wishy-washy way, rather than drop the bomb and then elaborate, we don't have a discussion that's this real. You all don't come at me with everything you've got, and I don't start hammering out long posts that force me to find ways to express what's in my head.

I got better wording and a short story out of the whole deal. Broken writer's block is a good thing.

You got some Martin bashing. That's fine. I don't mind all that much. You all cannot possibly say worse to me than I had said to me for all those years. I like who I am. It doesn't much bother me if you don't. If someone wants to go down into the gutter, I'll follow them down there, get my innings in, and then ask why we're in the gutter.

I make no apologies for it. I am what nature and events made me. They made me real.
