Hes fat Sam and shoudnt Be anywere near us.

Why not? Because we are too attractive a club for a manager like that? lol

Some of you need a reality check. We haven't won a trophy since 1995, and we haven't even been able to get a single victory against Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool at their grounds this century. Swansea City have come up, won a trophy and enjoyed victories at Anfield and the Emirates and we haven't done any of that.

We are a huge club historically and have a lot we can be proud of, but the snobbery from some about being 'too good' for a certain manager is laughable given our poor showing over the last 25-30 years.Things like the School of Science and NSNO are long gone. We're also rans in English Football.

Don't see why people would rather a disloyal, flavour of the month manager like Silva in either. Would have relegated us. We'd have been hammered 6-3 in games like under Martinez, but 'at least we would have had some shots on target'.

I don't mind him, only because I despised Kooeman.
I wanted Kooeman out so much I couldn't moan who we got in.
As for the football not great but I can't blame BFS to much as being left with no CF and no LB has made things difficult
I am encouraged by his two signings and eagerly await a new LB
Massive task who ever we have as manager

Don't pull your punches mate.

Can't disagree with a lot of what you say - it certainly offers the context of why we've ended up with Big Sam. I do feel however that despite us not being the giants of the game we once were, we can still criticise the team and manager for churning out turdball.

If it had fat Sam's finger prints all over it after zero minutes with the players why hasnt he got us hammering Liverpool and spurs then after 4 months with them?!

Because thats how football works isnt it. If you think allerdyce had nothing to do with the squad when he was sorting out a deal with everton then thats up to you. Your wrong but its up to you.

In what way did Allardyce have more to do with the West Ham win by sitting in the stands? This is nonsensical.

What is nonsensical is thinking that thinking that unsworth went from playing his dreadful style of 3 midfield press. while the front 3 wait for the ball that never comes because the balls been passed round them and is now in the back of our net because unsworth can't organise a defence to save his life. To totally changing his style of play to a side that closes down the angles and squeezes play. In order to force the opposition into making a more difficult pass, increasing our chances of regaining possession. While also keeping and protecting our defence as a cohesive unit. He also suddenly started playing rooney in the center of midfield. When previously he had only ever played him up front or on the wing and didn't give him many starts. Unsworth changed all that In 3 days from our worst leauge performance or the season did he?

It didn't have allerdyces finger prints all over it at all, it didn't even have Allardyce's finger prints all over it!
If by some chance it did why oh why, having won 4-0, has he not continued to play in a similar way since! Instead he has resorted to playing the same dire way he has resorted to for the past fifteen years in an attempt to justify the relegation battle he needs us to be in! Him, his mindset, and his way of thinking and playing, is actually dragging us back into what could end up being a relegation battle!

What like when we played the exact same way against Huddersfield and Swansea? Ffs

It never had a single print of Allarydce that game! He signed about 3 hours before kickoff he had f all to do with that game!

Look at previous posts mate.

Im not a lover of allerdyce. Hes a necessary evil for me this season and i want him gone after the final whistle of our last game but anyone thinking unsworth is better is off their bloody heads.

you're wrong but its up to you

So my first 2 counter arguments are factually correct but you're dismissing them by using the word barely. So if a team wins 1-0 with a goal in the 95th minute you'd say they barely won the game? It's a ridiculous line of argument and proves that where Allardyce is concerned you simply cannot give any credit whatsover.

You then try and belittle that he earned us an away win in only 2 attempts which both Unsworth and Koeman failed to do in a domestic away this season, and something the team had not achieved in 11 months. I am not claiming it to be some great achievement that we beat Newcastle, but it is still a positive whichever way you look at it.

How have the fixtures been kinder to Allardyce? In our last 10 games we have faced a top 6 side on 5 occasions, including 2 trips to Anfield. Unsworth played a top 6 side once in 8 matches. I have no idea how you are coming to the conclusions you are and especially on the harder games thing.

5 games against the top 6

Got beat in 4. Drew at anfield and Chelsea. How we never got beat in both is a miracle. We had 1 shot combined in both games. Total fluke

We won't count unsworth games in Europe they were dead rubbers

He had Chelsea Leicester palace and Southampton away and Watford and west ham at home won both home games and a decent point away to palace ( we again was shocking yo be fair )

Bare mind unsworth had the difficulty of a 2 Europa and 1 league cup games in the middle of this

He took over from koeman when we was literally at rock bottom

He never had a January transfer window to strengthen

First time as a manager not like the 1000 games of failure

I'm also not belittling what fat Sam done when he come in stating we got lucky which we did. Do you think we deserved most them points?

We can and should be aiming for a far better manager.

I'm neutral about Sam really. Not too proud to admit we've been cack for most of the past 4 seasons.. so that's where we are

Anyway instead of berating Sam it's time to compare and contrast

Koeman was embarrassing this season: We scraped past Stoke, did well at City and got lucky against Bournemouth (when we were poor)... plus we just about did enough in 4 EL qualifiers and beat a truly awful Sunderland in the Caramac Cup..

on the other hand we were truly awful at: Chelsea, home to Spurs, Arsenal, Lyon at home (excepting they should have beaten us out of sight) and don't even start with the Burnley game and not much better at United (until the last 10 mins) and the Cypriots (poor, plus ref error).

I'm sorry but Koeman barely deserves 3/10

Unsy at least registered a couple of decent efforts - West Ham, Chelsea reserves, Lyon for 70 minutes, Watford (ish).. but pretty poor at Leicester and truly dreadful at Southampton and for the most part awful against Atalanta

Unsy gets a 4 1/2 out of 10

Allardyce hit the ground running, 2-0 Hudds, 1-1 at Anfield, win at Newcastle, home to Swansea - great effort against Chelsea and sent the kids to get a result (at last) in Cyprus - yes it's gone a bit pair shaped since... but this included 3 obviously going to lose games on the bounce... we were very poor at Spurs..

5/10

Put it another way if you were forced to watch our games this season you would pick only the following bits

City (a) Koeman

Watford (h) Second half
West Ham (h) Unsy

Liverpool (a)
Chelsea (h)
Newcastle (a) maybe.
Swansea (h) 2nd half - maybe - Allardyce

Allardyce hasn't gone about that in the right way either in my opinion. You can't expect any player to put in good performances after playing one week, being dropped for 5 or 6 games, then brought back in and dropped again. Let alone a 19 year old who is inexperienced in this league. He has managed that situation poorly, along with Lookman.

If he thinks Bolasie should be a starter, which I disagree with at the moment due to his long spell out, then he should at least be giving Lookman and Vlasic 25-30 mins consistently off the bench to allow them to get a good run of form going and progress.

Having said that, the Left Back situation makes it hard for whoever is put out on the left to play well anyway, so that is an added dimension to the poor performances we're seeing from certain players being expected to produce a good performance in that position.
You can only pick a player on form and sadly Vlasic hasn't shown much.If you have points on the board you can enjoy the luxury of young players playing there way into the team, but we don't.
