I got duffed up at Sid James' park in Newcastle - somewhere around 1972
Old Trafford especially at night always a bit nasty in the 80s although when we played Altrincham in the replay at old Trafford was especially bad getting over the bridgeOld Trafford was always horrible. Early 80’s, stuff getting thrown constantly from the K stand behind the away section. Then on leaving the ground in police escort being met by a load of glass bottles being thrown at us. One that did surprise me was Barnsley in the late 80’s. Wasn’t really expecting much trouble but they were bloody mad.
The Street end the week after an away game had many "badges of honour"The only hairy moments I heard about was the aforementioned cardiff and a Good Friday Newcastle game all in the 70s.
The Newcastle programme was a badge of honour in town that night..
Remember a few Scotland flags after they beat Wales at the pit.The Street end the week after an away game had many "badges of honour"
Usually scarves they "won" from fans at the previous games.
Leeds scarves in particular I distinctly remember were the top "badge of honour"
Not only the Street End... the Park End, tooThe Street end the week after an away game had many "badges of honour"

Boro, not bad since they moved to the new place but Ayresome Park was a right challenge as an away fan.Throughout your time watching Everton away from home. What was the ground you hated going to because of the fan’s reputation?
Was there that Bristol game they came over I think was a flyover it was like the film Zulu dawn madIm younger than most of you arl arses on this thread so the worst I have seen was Bristol City in 95, the fellas I go to the aways with always say Cardiff away in the Cup in 77 (?) was a bloodbath.
Haha went therePlymouth away in the FA Cup in 1989 was the worst trouble I have seen
Everton fans were mad that day all jumped up in the stands and started scraping...was a scary ground tho when they shouted Millwall proper moody... remember sheedy getting booed off by us madI can remember going to Spurs , August Bank Holiday 85.
There was trouble outside immediately after the game (Lineker's first goal we won 1-0)
Then we were escorted by the police to Northumberland Park which went past some moody estate.
The locals came out to have a go and police with dogs actually backed off from them as various Everton lads moved forward to confront them.
I went to Millwall in 89 when hundreds of Everton piled off at Surrey Quays and walked unopposed to the ground.
Millwall stayed in the pubs.
About three years later I was living in South London and got talking to a few Millwall lads who got the ale in and were quite impressed by Everton that day.
