Getting tasty in here.

I believe in free labour markets. Any worker certainly has the right to threaten and go through with withholding their labour. That's as it should be. But, tit for that, any employer should also have the right to dismiss a worker or withhold pay for non-work. You can't have it both ways.
Every employer deducts pay for any days out on strike. That’s always been the case. You can make a fairly decent argument both for and against that I believe.

But you can’t be dismissed for taking part in a genuine, lawful democratic strike action. I don’t think you can anyway? And it would be outrageous for that to happen.

bye bye Soubry.....:celebrate:
I think it was bye bye to Soubry on election night rather than with this announcement.

She’s been replaced in parliament by someone who will be a blatant ‘Yes man/woman’ for Boris.

Now whatever way you lean politically, left or right, Labour or Tory, I don’t see how you could regard fewer principled people and more fawning sycophants in parliament as a good thing.

I remember her referendum interview just after the result - quote by her was the people have to be listened to who voted out .....finally they and it's goodbye from me a call goodbye from the 17.4 million she forgot ......

You clearly don't know @peteblue

Maybe she was listening. Maybe she was just listening to you, which is probably why she was a bit confused.
