Well, I didn't say that they "used violence as a means of control as a matter of course" - though of course thats what they did, at least with regards to attempts to unionize (which in the most extreme example led to an actual battle being fought) and in terms of relations with the Native communities.

What I meant was that the policies around race, around eugenics (especially) and probably the idea of lebensraum itself all have clear inspiration from what the US had done in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Ah, I was thinking more of the 20th Century......

Well what does it have to do with the far-right or even just the right?

So yeah, I did like Pete's post asking what it had to do with this thread because it was a vaild question.....

I’d consider it a right-leaning viewpoint. Are you a mod? What thread should it be in?

Yeah, and every other one of Pete’s posts. And every right winger on here

If your post was a refelection of what you consider to a far-right politcal view then I'm not sure you really understand what a right winger is. Is it just anyone who doesn't agree with your political viewpoint?

Why you'd care who's posts I like is beyond me. What does it have to do with you?

Yeah mate.

I don't care. It's just notable.
