Keep seeing comments like "the far left is just as bad as the far right".

People who, perhaps over zealously, want to see social and financial equality are just as bad as people who advocate the genocide of all non-white Christians?

Nope, that statement is a load of nonsense.

Wow.

With your logic, you could equally say that 'people who, perhaps over zealously, want to see low taxation and small government are just as bad as people who advocate the genocide of Russians and South East Asians'.

You have no idea what 'far left' and 'far right' mean, and are confusing 'far left, far right, right wing and left wing'.

Far left IS as bad as far right. The clue is in the name 'far' signifying the extremes.

Every moderate person, be they generally left or right leaning want social and financial equality, it's just that they have different approaches.

Historical fascists such as Hitler and Mussolini had both left wing and right wing policies.

The far left Antifa are fascists in the same vein as far right white supremacists.

This myopic, sheep-like demonisation of anything that isn't 'left wing' politics is pathetic and extremely dangerous.

I watched this on YouTube last night, thought it was rather objective and therefore I'd share it with you.



And when those 'dirty centrists' chat about the far left and the far right having similarities, I think most are referring to the tactics used by both sides tbh (and they have a point). Personally, when I think of the far left, I think of groups like Antifa who are pretty violent. An example being at Trump's inauguration when they set fire to an Iraqi immigrants limo because they assumed he was a wealthy Trump supporter, or in Chicago recently when they stormed a restaurant and battered a load of people who they accidentally misidentified as white supremacists.

My point being that Nazi’s are the worst people in the world but the media trying to paint every group on the left as being purer than pure doesn't help. I actually think that's the point what Trump was (badly) trying to make in the press conference the other day. I mean, his timing was off and I’m not denying he should have condemned those weird white supremacist lads straight off the bat, but he’s not wrong to point out how both of the fringe elements on the American right and left are escalating things in the US.

This descent into the politics of identity is all very concerning to me, I can't see how it's going to de-escalate at the moment and just when things are looking good for the bluez. Typical.

As is clouding the water by averting attention away from what is happening right now- the extreme right are growing in support and confidence.

1. "Antifa" is not a centralised, coordinated movement so much as a state of mind.

2. Most anti-fascists are not violent, just outraged at the racism and iniquity that they see.

3. Anyone who says anti-fascists are fascists is either a troll or a fool.

4. White supremacists have an entire people in their cross-hairs, anti-fascists most certainly do not. They merely despise an ideology of hate.
