I'd rather think of the many people who don't come on here anymore because they don't "think" like many on here.

That's the problem.
You don't realize at all, no realization whatsoever, that there are Evertonians who voted for Trump, supported Trump, and figure if they come on here, they won't last very long because invariably, they'll be hammered for it. That they're insane. That they're racist or bigoted or homophobic.
You just don't get it do you? You know what's sad? You won't ever get it.

The right are winning at the moment, you need only look at both the US and UK governments for proof of that
I think the left have been complicit in their own destruction to be fair, with things like PC culture and SJW's stoking a fire under the right and also putting more moderate people off left values
At this moment in time, the right has the ear of the swing voter and until the left can win him/her back, they'll continue to flail in the wilderness
The right just play the game better, where as the left honestly believe they can change the game all together. Maybe they eventually can but it will take years to happen, and in the meantime the right will continue to the rule the roost
As someone who is more left leaning, my only hope is that the Tories will get too comfortable and cocky, and will do something so vulgar that it'll begin their eventual unravelling (Such as when Thatcher brought in the poll tax. Major won an election after that but the party was never the same and once Labour got an electable leader they were booted out)
The sad thing is a lot of the most vulnerable will have to suffer whilst the left gets it's act together, be it the sick and poor in the UK or minorities in the US
A very depressing few years ahead if you lean to the left, the right are in control
