Fans, in part, create the ethos of a club.

Our club's ethos is uncontrolled aggression, negativity, pessimism and bitterness.

We are also in the shadow of our neighbour's and have a tendency to define ourselves relative to them.

We need a new positive identity based on our own values. Moyes tried to do this with his 'People's Club' stuff but that was always hollow and again a fairly unsubtle dig at the RS. Again, defining ourselves relative to them.

Get the stadium built and start again.

Btw you might not agree but I think potential players do. That's also why no one wants to come here to play for us apart from mercenaries, misfits and other club's rejects.

do we think that young everton players are helped as much by their fans to develop as say young liverpool players and if not why??
It does help that when young players are introduced into a winning team and mentality instilled in them by their manager. We are that desperate for success we place unrealistic expectations on our talented youngsters (Stones, Barkley, Davies) that they can’t fulfill that promise and ultimately the crowd turns on them.

Worst fanbase in the entire world.

Beyond toxic.

We lose 2 games to the best teams in the world and everybody has gone mental.

The Man City defeat wasn’t really an issue but the defeat yesterday to the reserves of that lot deserved the fury that it got.

The 2nd attitude was rancid and they couldn’t even dig in and grind a result

It wont change till things change.

We have people who have only known misery from Everton, we have people who saw us conquer the world, but then saw our descent into nothingness.

25 years.

So yeah, I get that we have some anger issues as a fanbase, but we need to do better.

That Originals fella on twitter is doing stuff all the time and hes getting nothing but abuse for it.

Disgusting.

Im ashamed of what I saw yesterday.

It was horrid.

But I saw hundreds of people abusing the players on twitter, you think this will motivate them?

this is a clear concise and brave analysis with solutions and exactly what we need from everton fans if there is to be improvement. thank u.

Oh to have a side that costs little in relative terms but plays with heart and passion for its supporters. Step forward Leeds United under Bielsa.

i think we have established that YES everton fans are part of the problem in the club demise so now i would like to ask how do we fix this?? has someone else had this problem and successfully resolved it?? what can we do to fix the problem that is a large chunk of everton fans??

We lost to the best team in the world, yes but to a team they put out which most have not started shaving yet. They wanted to give us a win it seemed.

Not recently due to them playing so well over the last few years and actually winning things. Pongolle and Le Tallec got loads of abuse from their fans.
have liverpool been winning lots and lots for the past ten years or so buddy?? did their young players get more support if they were not??
