The Fab Four

Our last Fab Four was Lukaku stones barkley and delofoof that worked out well for us didn’t it
Well seeing that three of them are playing for richest clubs in world football, and one looks like he might join Chelsea... think its only Everton fans that have lost out

Let's be honest though, we couldn't actually start Premier League games with that team could we?

That team would get bummed every week

Clearly we wouldn't aim to go into a game with this lineup;

Pickford (24)
Kenny(21) -- Holgate (21) -- Keane (25) -- ???
Baningime (19) Davies (20)
Vlasic (20) -- Dowell (20) -- Lookman (20)
DCL (21)

What I was alluding to was that with Onyekuru on the way, we have the capability to put out a young side of average 21 years old.

If you want to be negative about it then the worst thing, is that if we added a left back then at least that's a 2nd eleven :o

Look at the money the top 6 sides have spend on subs/rotation players....weve got 11 players there for great value who can last a decade.

There’ll always be youngsters that could make it, the problem is they’re not at the level required.

And some of our youngsters are massively over rated, the top teams use rotation with seasoned pros, not “half decent” kids.

City do it with u23s...theyre at the top of the league and playing the best football.

The hope is that these players can forge a team spirit on/off the pitch and grow as players together.

The sum could be worth more than its parts.

All of those players would get games in the premier league, some of them for top sides.

There's only one Fab Four......

I disagree, to early to make judgements on some of these players. The biggest thing for dowell is getting a manager to trust him.

Down the years how many players coming through in the premiership have looked world beaters at 19/20. Not many.
Look at Gerrard lampard scholes. They were talented youngsters at 19/20 not world beaters. Lampard used to get a lot of stick from West Ham fans as a young player.
Beckham & scholes didn’t really become united regulars untill around 22/23.

Lampard got stick from morons quite honestly.

Beckham had player over 100 pl games by the time he was 23.

He played 33 pl games in uniteds double winning side of '96 and only turned 21 at the tail end of that season.

Scholes is really the only world class player who came through the ranks who took a while to blossom. And that was probably down to his size.

I think Kenny is treading a similar path to Neville.

Holgate is an anomaly as young centre backs don't usually come through so young unless superstars

Lookman/Vlasic will start racking up games after Jan when the frequency dies down...

DCL and Holgate have 25 ish games each and davies has nearly 50.

Pickford obviously the most proven....

Stupidly unfortunate that Kenny plays in the same position as the best player at the club.

Yes and no....

Yes as it may limit his games...

No because he needs to develop, show consistency and can learn from coleman...

We'd not be having this conversation if we had a super u21 left back to take over from baines

That's actually my side on FIFA career mode after I got angry a couple of months ago and sold all my senior players.

Stoke spanked me.
