It does make you wonder who will have to be sold in the summer or at best if we'll be able to sign Pienaar and Drenthe permanantly in the summer.

As far as im aware Drenthe will be free, he wont be signing, I can tell you that now, he smells of "2 week fines", defo not a Moyes player.

But yeah, clearly somebody will become a Judas in the Summer, NAILED.

No Dave, they could have spent nothing, we as fans expected that.

But Moyes has asked for players and for once hes got "some".

Dont worry, I still think they are parasites, but I suppose after 2 and a hlaf Years im just happy we have sniny new players.

That's what they've done mate, lowered expectations to a point where paying off creditors is seen as the norm, and recycling money generated by sales is described (and accepted) as *investment*.

They are charlatans and crooks fronted by a brazen liar of the worst kind.

Fair enough, Moyesie looks to have got his tactcs right in the transfer window getting underperformers out.

To be honest, though at the moment i am pretty pleased, im concerned long term. A fair chunk of our squad will only be here for 16 games. We have lost two permanent bodies in Saha and Billy, while it is very possible Donovan, Pienaar, Strauq, Roy of the Lowlands wont be here next season.

Overall we have shed a lot of the bulk of our squad over the last three transfer windows, lost for me a fair bit of quality. Im pleased but lets be honest its sticky plaster stuff to see us through to the summer - where we revisit the same problems - where we know things are going to be tough. Its all well and good doing bits and pieces now but 23 games are gone, that is 69 points that we could have played for and improved our current tally of 29.

Equally i think an interesting figure would be the loan fees we shell out (other operating costs????), they must touch about 6 mill, that for me is a Junior Hoillett who i would prob prefer.

Its instant gratification and don't get me wrong ive enjoyed the excitement and am more looking forward to the games ahead, but its short termism with no clear long term strategy, unless the plan is to bring the young lads on next season.

Correct. There is no plan. The short term future of the club depends on the manager wheeling and dealing in the loan market and selling some players off to pacify banks. This window just gone does not represent a shift up in gear and away from the lean years, it's just a breather that was earned with the summer clearout.

We still need a game changer in terms of a stadium upgrade or real investment in. With these jokers in control we're going around in circles at best.

I don't think Kenwright can really take credit to be honest.

Gibson was off Fergie and Jelavic was off McCoist.

Scottish connection and Moyes agent brother is my guess.

I hope a few people give Bill the credit he's due here. He's admitted time and time that we are broke and that we still owe loads to the bank, yet we've been able to get 2 good players on loan and 2 players signed.

Yep I can see someone like Rodwell being sold in the summer, but in my opinion our squad is much better than last January - Arteta wan't performing, so to sell him and bring in Gibson too me isn't bad business.

Meanwhile, undoubtable Saha hasn't performed this season and Jelovic will bring in some new blood + hopefully score the extra goals that we need.

Whilst Donavon and Peanuts are fantastic bonuses.

I actually agree with every single word of this. It was a good day's business yesterday, but maybe that was partly due to the BU putting the heat on the Board to get off their arses and do something. The longterm future is still precarious, and we need a new Board, with money to invest longterm.

Its like not eating for a week then finding a piece of stale bread in your cupboard.

Sure, its an improvement on nothing but hardly the bowl of cheesy chips you wanted.
