The Echo reporters - banned from Finch Farm

If this is true it is pathetic.
I am an editor of five local newspapers and from my experience where this happens there are people with something to hide.
Everton is a public commodity and what goes on, and the views around the club, are in the public interest.
My response? I would be digging deeper.

i think we are all being a bit hard on the club here, as far as i am aware they do not allow the contributors/writers of 'Through the Wind and the Rain' or 'Red all Over the Land' access to Finch Farm or Evertons staff so why would they let the Liverpool Echo?

*howls with laughter*

Thinking on this a bit further it does sound like give a dog a bad name, or saying to the Everton board "When did you last beat your wife?"

There is more than one rumour, there is questionable evidence and if the reporters were banned from Finch Farm what does that mean? Are they usually to be found at Finch Farm on a daily basis besides press day? In which case why are the local papers still carrying videos related to the pre match press conference, why is there a pre match article with quotes from David Moyes? Someone please explain.

Incidentally this article is written by Greg O'Keefe (one of the banned two I believe) on February 26 2011.

So, am I missing something or is it the whiff of "they have form, it must be true?"

Close the thread, its a blue haddock.

So when I post the next Greg O'Keefe article will you still be screaming "trust me". I can't trust you, I don't know you from a tin of beans. You'll have to present something solid, erm, like evidence? That might be useful.

ECHO/POST BANNED ? BOLLOCKS

Just been on another site and read that ECHO/POST have apparantly been banned from Goodison?

Bollocks - I sit to the right of the Press box and at the Brum game O'Keefe and Prentice where both in situ?
Where they disguised as journo's from a quality, reliable BLUE ((not RED)) tabloid?
Nope?

Leads me to bring in a comparison ECHO = MOTD

Both show next to NO coverage of Everton and both ****E!
