From an era when all inside forwards were “bustling”.

Just heard the news that Michael Brooks has died from a sudden illness. I followed him on his own channel and also the majority report and he was a fiercely intelligent young guy who wanted nothing more than a better, fairer world. Feel pretty sick at the news, his voice was one that I heard on a near daily occurance and its a hollow feeling to know he is gone.

Liam Treadwell the Grand National winning jockey buried today after committing suicide a few weeks ago.
Depression is a horrible place to be. Hope he’s found peace now.

....I posted it in here on 23rd June and I’m sure it was extensively covered on all racing sites at that point. Sad though they haven’t highlighted today’s tributes.

It is an illness particularly prevalent with jockeys and ITV did a feature on it following Treadwell’s sad death. Starving themselves to get rides, constant travelling, early starts and late finishes all contributing factors.
