Dick Miller died yesterday aged 90, best known as Billy's neighbour Murray in the two Gremlins films but also for his work on many Roger Corman films in the 50's and 60s

I remember reading years ago, maybe on Bluekipper, that he was a Blue like his late brother David who was in Drop The Dead Donkey. I can imagine those other departed Scouse Evertonian actors, Leonard Rossiter and Michael Williams (Judi Dench's husband) asking him "up there" how the hell did we end up with Allardyce.

I remember trudging round shop after shop trying to find Legrand Jazz with among others Bill Evans and the film score for The Happy Ending on CD when I bought my very first player.Had to wait until you could pinch them off YouTube as Mp3 files.

He composed the music for "How Do You Keep The Music Playing". Ironically, James Ingram who charted with it in the 80s with Patti Austin, also passed away this week.

Thanks for posting that. I have difficulty with names, but I knew that voice instantly. One of my favourite contributers to the radio, dang it. Always got me laughing. Going to miss him enormously.

Same here , thought he was excellent .
