Brilliant that, you could really tell that they had a laugh doing that and didn't take themselves to seriously.

I love the description Windsor Davis made as Sarget Major when talking about Lofty aka Don Estelle's singing voice "close your eyes and what have you got? Wonderful six foot tenor! Open your eyes and what have you got? A singing mushroom!".

Not just me then.
Mandela effect. It’s a thing whereby loads of people have a false memory about an event. It’s so named because they ‘remember’ events that haven’t actually happened, with Nelson Mandela dying in prison being the main one (which of course he didn’t). There are loads of YouTube videos on it, with some going so far as to believe it’s proof of parallel universes. Windsor would be pleased to be another example - he was, after all, a lovely boy.

Hugh McIlvanney a brilliant Scottish Sports journalist has died aged 84, he had a 60 year career and forged close links and friendships with the likes of Busby, Shankly, Stein and Ferguson, something I guess you never hear of these days.

He assisted Alex Ferguson with his biography and I recall him fronting many good Scottish football documentaries up to his retirement in 2016.

He worked on amongst others, The Scotsman,The Express, the Observer and the Sunday Times an absolutely illustrious of which as they say up here in Scotland 'We shall never see his likes again.' RIP

He of the portentous voice heard on many documentaries. Old school. His brother was William, of course, creator of Laidlaw among others.
