Bollocks. Listen to ANYBODY who has worked with the man and they will tell you he works as hard (if not harder) than any manager.

"on the take"............Fukin laughable.

his statement shouldn't come as any surprise. He said before the season ended he wanted to know if there would be investment before he would sign a contract. they could offer him 5m or 6m a year and i don't think he would sign it if there was not going to be some kind of investment on the horizon. I think his comment is fair enough....I would say the same. It's not like he is lying or anything, and why would he give a public commitment on staying when him staying is contingent on something that does not involve his salary. Also, if either Baines or Felli are sold then it's hard to see him signing. I would be p1ssed if the team I was building was being dismantled because of no investment and the demands of the bank

a season is a season - There's a saying about the league - "come what may in May" It's the only time your league position means anything. You can be top of the league from August until April, but if you're not there in May, then it counts for fuk all.

As for our derby record...Well, I'm not happy with it either, but most of the kopites I talk to, claim it is our cup-final. I'm beginning to see why they think that way, after reading what I've read.

When did the RS ever throw a derby though?

Moyelz did and it backfired spectacularly.

Call it our cup final or whatever...I call it being perfectly capable of beating a terrible RS side and failing miserably because we are scared of them.

He's taking money under false pretences: offering a fantasy that ambitions can be met. That sounds like being on the take to me.

he said the exact same thing before finally signing his last contract mate. Look what happened. He'll sign a new contract because it's millions in the bank from a job where he has no pressure. All the talk about 'getting investment' is bollocks.

I'm posting my opinion, if you don't like it, then don't post either. I can play school yard retorts too.

That's nice, but i'm not the one saying 'this is getting tiresome'. Generally if something is that tiresome people don't pursue it. No 'school yard retort' involved at all.

Yet you lambast him when he offers negative comments, such as knife - gunfight, all that.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

you'd be qualified to know, you're full of 'nothing statements'

I won't be offended if you don't reply, I know you're busy trying to get your first job as a professional football manager. XX

Who are these people who say he's the hardest working manager ever ? Where are the quotes ?

That's why it's a nothing statement, you're making a claim and providing no evidence to back it up before calling Davek's opinion laughable. Bit of a tittish thing to say really.

It's pretty laughable that press statements are continually twisted to find meaning and fit into arguments.

I mean, would it make you feel better if he said "I'm not ambitious at all. We've achieved a level of mediocrity that I can accept, and I will continue on that course." That would really sell some tickets.

Press quotes. Please stop taking them at face value.
