They are not a patch on PUKKA, the Everton pastie. Sayers have shares in the [Poor language removed] and you ought to be ashamed of yourself Chico, you are a rapso(n)

Sounds very english, here we say parstee, but now i know better i will start pronouncing it correctly, I may take a little longer at the baker though, don't know if she'll understand what i mean..

Ginsters are for men. Lets bin Pukka and get Ginsters. Proper Pasties.

And it's pasty* (pah-ste).

It really is.

Even posh-plums-in-mouth Rick Stein tells people off for say pars-ste.

Greenalgh's meat and potato take some beating by the way.

* As apposed to pastie.

Im sorry you are wrong- Pasties were created in Cornwall and a true fact- do you know what the crimping effect is on the side of a pasty?

It was because the cornish miners who had grubby hands could hold on to the crimping and eat the pasty and throw the crimp away. True.

So in that case and taking into account the people who invented them- the way to pronounce it is par-sty. True too.
