living near leigh i have to say it's past-i, the leythers only eat them them due to being anti anything from wigan and the fact that if you was seen eating a pie you would be chased out of town by a mob ranging in age from 60-100.
hampsons do a great chilli pastie which is often refered to as "a leigh burrito".
apart from that they call a pan of scouse...lobby and are thus known as the lobby gobblers....by themselves.
