Welcome back Wayne
And still won comfortably, how many votes did you lose btw ?
They all stayed at home, like they normally do mid term…..
And still won comfortably, how many votes did you lose btw ?
With only 50% of the previous vote. People are obviously upset with Boris, but they didn’t vote Labour did they….
They all stayed at home, like they normally do mid term…..

Thank you, revelling in it, you can fool some of the people some of the time..
No credible policies, no ideas, no clue and No more parties ! Looks like " partygate " wasn't a big joke after all..only to you.
They all stayed at home, like they normally do mid term…..
But Pete they voted tactically to get rid of Johnson.
That's much worse than just voting for Labour for the Tories.
On the news just now, Fraser Nelson- a Johnson loyalist acknowledged the emergence of tactical voting is extremely dangerous for the tories, and threatens them with a 97 style wipe out.
That's a right wing, daily telegraph supporters view.
Starmer is achingly average, as is Davy, but they currently dont have to be any better, because Johnson is grossly unpopular.
At the moment…a week is a longtime in politics…two years is an age……
Theres little doubt that government suffer somewhat in mid terms. But a 30 point swing is calamitous Pete.
Are 60% of people going to go out to vote more in 2 years?
Michael Heseltine made a point, where he said, the situation in 2 years isnt going to be any better. Likely to be in recession, and coming off the back of high inflation.
Theres no doubt there will be some improvement, but within that context, we can ask about scale.
I'll give you 2 examples, in the mid 90s it didnt change in 97, or in 2010 it didnt for Labour either, did it?
You really shouldn’t get all wound up over this, it’s just politics and mid term at that. Enjoy the moment, pretend everything is about to change, but when the GE comes along don’t be surprised when the greased piglet wins again….

So how many again ? Couldn't quite catch that.![]()
Heseltine did some good work in the past, certainly with Liverpool under Maggies direction. But he is a committed Remainer and will do or say anything to take us back into the EU. If he had ever come out and said the vote must be accepted and we should make the most of Brexit then fair enough, but he didn’t. He’s just another egotistical politician who believes only he is right. If the Tories lose the next GE then fair enough, the people have spoken, but when it comes to Boris and his association with the EU vote, Remoaners will never let it go…..
Funny thing an interviewer, think off Sky news actually found his hiding place in Rwanda and when he pressed Bojo about the reasons he lost Johnson spouted, just like his cuck Peteblue that it was midterm, blah, blah, mumble, cost of living, blah, blah, I cured Covid, blah, blah. The interviewer now incredulous replied, it's because of you Mr Johnson, your parties, the Sue Gray report not exonerating you. He didn't even listen carried on bulling regardless, so condescending, so oblivious and so out of touch.
Yes Pete really wound up off for a drink now, but don't think I'll ever catch you up. Tally ho. Have a good night mate.![]()

Theres no doubt that's a factor mate. Neither of us agree with Heseltine. But I respect his views, as it would be naive not too.
He has won multiple elections (and not just swung in 4 weeks before to claim someone elses hard work like Johnson did). He knows how to win elections.
The people have been asked to make a judgement on Johnson, the strikes, partygate etc, and in the local elections, the polls and these elections, they have spoken unanimously. That is unquestionable.
