But it's representative of the vote. There are seats where supporters of ALL parties never get their view represented. PR is far more democratic but I'm not holding my breath as I don't expect turkeys to vote for Christmas.

I think it's undemocratic that a government can rule in a dictatorial manner with less than 40% of the votes.

What’s even worse is it’s less than 40% of the eligible voting population due to voter apathy.

Actually looking at those numbers, the turnout in Wakefield was less than 50% of the last GE vote, and Labour managed to get 4K votes less than they did in 2019….

This is precisely why its so important to support the strikers. We do not have a deficit because we pay train cleaners, ticket office workers, track maintenance staff, nurses or most other public servants too much. We have a deficit because of deals with firms like that, because of PFI, because of "privatized" structures set up to mooch cash off the taxpayer and because defence procurement is bent. That is what has to be sorted out.
