This is the issue for them, but Boris does have this way about him. He may well get thrown out by the Tories and Remoaners, but somehow I can see him getting through it….

The Tories might win the next General Election...they won't with Johnson.

The party would be wise to use his time in Rwanda to discuss options for a successor and act before he comes back.

I can't see Johnson resigning under any likely circumstance. There can't be another Conservative party vote of confidence on him for 12 months. This leaves a vote of confidence in the Commons as a possibility and I can't see Tory MP's using that as a way to get rid of their own Prime Minister. The likeliest way for him to go would be for a significant number of his cabinet to turn against him and I don't see any of them having the backbone for that. Hopefully he will be here for the duration.

I think relationship problems will scupper him. He likes taking risks and a settled marriage doesn’t suit him. If that happens it will be some explosive mud slinging once a lot of truths come out. Can’t wait
